Our
Programs Include:
Family
to Family Program: A free, 12-week comprehensive course for
families of persons diagnosed with a serious mental illness. Program provides
family members with an opportunity to participate in a structured,
problem-solving environment providing emotional support and practical help for
one another.
Visions for Tomorrow consists of an
8 week course of FREE workshops for parents or caregivers of children and adolescents with brain disorders/mental
illness
"In Our Own Voice
-
Living With Mental
Illness" Recovery
Education Program---a one and a half hour (1 1/2 hours) program aimed at increasing awareness and better
understanding of mental illness/brain-based disorders. Includes an 11-min.
video and interactive discussion facilitated by team of presenters who
themselves have been diagnosed with a mental illness, and who share from their perspectives
on recovery. Can be adapted to any audience--peers, college students,
churches, nursing and other medical staff, criminal justice and emergency
response personnel, social service agencies, family groups, etc....
Presentations can be arranged through the local chapter at (520) 459-3228 or
1-800-380-2322. No charge for the presentation. Each participant
will be provided with an informational packet, and asked to complete a brief
survey.
